The AFM of SA: POPI Act Documents (2022)

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”) contains legal requirements relating to the collection, storing, handling, and processing of the personal information of certain persons. The Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa is a religious organisation that collects, stores, handles and processes personal information as an integral part of its day-to-day activities. As a church, we need to ensure that we align our activities with the expectations of this act. The POPI act and its implications for the church are included as a presentation in the 2022 National Office Bearers Empowerment Visits.
