A CALL TO UNITED PRAYER IN A TIME OF NATIONAL CHALLENGE
At this critical time, South Africa finds itself facing challenges that call us back to God with humility, reflection, and united prayer. The spread of Foot and Mouth disease in parts of our country is not only an agricultural or economic concern; it exposes the vulnerability of our food supply, the livelihoods of farmers and workers, and the stability of many rural communities. When meat production is disrupted, the consequences extend far beyond farms, affecting food security, employment, trade, and the well-being of families who depend on the land for their daily bread.
As believers, our response is not panic or despair, but a renewed dependence on God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. We are reminded that the earth and its resources ultimately belong to the Lord (Psalm 24:1). We therefore pray for wisdom, integrity, and clarity for veterinarians, agricultural officials, and leaders tasked with managing this crisis. We ask for protection over livestock, for effective containment of the disease, and for strength, comfort, and support for farmers carrying heavy losses and deep uncertainty.
At the same time, we hold before God the devastation caused by flooding in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and surrounding areas, as well as the severe drought and water shortages affecting the Garden Route and the Eastern Cape. These contrasting hardships remind us of our dependence on God in every season.
Let us earnestly seek the Lord for His mercy, healing, provision, and guidance, trusting Him to sustain our nation. I call on all our assemblies to intentionally bring these matters before God in our services and prayer meetings.

Njengamakholwa, indlela yokubhekana nalesisimo, ukuthi singavumeli ukwesaba noma ukuphelelwa ithemba, kodwa kumele sivuselele ukuncika kwethu kuNkulunkulu, uMdali noMlondolozi wezinto zonke. Siyakhunjuzwa ukuthi umhlaba nokugcwala kwawo ekugcineni kungokukaJehova (Amahubo 24:1). Ngakho-ke sithandazela ukuthi odokotela bezilwane, izikhulu zezolimo, nabaholi abajutshwe ukubhekana nale nkinga baphiwe inhlakanipho, ubuqotho, kanye nokucaciseleka. Sithandazela ukuvikeleka kwemfuyo, ukunqandwa ngempumelelo kwalesisifo, amandla, ukunethezeka, ukusekelwa kwabalimi abalahlekelwe kakhulu nesimo sokungaqiniseki esibakhungethe.
Ngaso lesi sikhathi, siletha phambi kukaNkulunkulu umonakalo odalwe yizikhukhula eLimpopo, eMpumalanga, nasezindaweni ezizungezile, kanye nesomiso esibi nokuntuleka kwamanzi okuthinta i-Garden Route kanye neMpumalanga Kapa. Lobu bunzima obungafani busikhumbuza ukuncika kwethu kuNkulunkulu ngaso sonke isikhathi.
Masifune ngobuqotho nesihawu seNkosi, ukuphulukiswa, ukuhlinzekwa, kanye nesiqondiso, sithembele kuyo ukuthi isekele isizwe sethu. Ngicela onke amaBandla ethu ukuba alethe lezi zizimo ngokungathandabuzi phambi kukaNkulunkulu ezinkonzweni zethu nasemihlanganweni yethu yemikhuleko.
FUELLING THE FIRE IN 2026
As we step into 2026, we are reminded of a powerful spiritual truth: fire does not die because it is weak, but because it runs out of fuel. 📖 “For lack of wood the fire goes out.” – Proverbs 26:20a (ESV). May your faith burn brighter, your commitment grow stronger, and the fire of God’s Spirit ignite everyone around you in 2026.
