Dear Colleague,
1. OUR THEME: TRUSTING GOD
The theme for the 2022 GBM and Conference is “Trusting God.”
There are so many things happening in our beloved country South Africa and across the world for which we really must trust God. Some people feel discouraged and even depressed. How should we as followers of Jesus in our daily lives act and react at this time?
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) encourages us: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Matthew 6:25, 32b-33 (NIV) says: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear…Your Heavenly Father knows that you need them…Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.”
How do we do this? How do we trust God amidst a storm? How do we ensure that we do not rely on our own abilities and knowledge, but instead trust God alone? What must we do to live according to the promises of God in His word? How do you trust God with your finances and future?
During the evening services at the 2022 GBM, starting from Sunday, 18 September to Wednesday, 21 September – these and other relevant issues will be addressed according to God’s Word. I am looking forward to seeing many of our pastors and members there.
