MESSAGE OF HOPE
This weekend we will be holding services to commemorate the sacrificial death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On Sunday we will be celebrating His resurrection from the grave.
The death and the resurrection of Jesus are the pillars of our Gospel message. The Apostle Paul captures the essence of the Gospel message well in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 when he says: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (NIV).
The significance of our Lord’s death is that it made the forgiveness of sin possible. It is the forgiveness of sin that lead to our adoption into God’s family.
The resurrection of Jesus from the grave gives us hope of the life herein after.
I urge you to reflect on the message of forgiveness, reconciliation and hope during this coming Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. May God grant you to forgive those that have hurt you. May God heal our relationships through reconciliation. May He give us hope that will transcend all uncertainties that make you pessimistic about the future.
Blessings!
