Appreciating Volunteers
Volunteers are the unsung heroes in our local assemblies, people who serve faithfully and loyally, often behind the scenes, with no expectation of recognition. Whether they are teaching children, greeting at the door, helping with sound and media, cleaning the building, visiting the sick, or leading worship, their commitment is vital to the life and growth of the church.
Their love in action reflects God’s heart and helps the church continue our work of spreading Hope and touching lives. In 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV), we read, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
This reminds us that serving is a spiritual calling, not just a task, and those who answer that call deserve our gratitude. Their time, energy, and willingness to serve are a blessing not only to the congregation, but also to God. Let us make time to appreciate and celebrate each volunteer, recognizing that what they do is making an impact. May they be encouraged to know that their labour is not in vain, and that God sees every act of service, big or small, done in His name.

Kweyoku-1 Petru 4:10 (ZUL20) siyafunda, “Yilowo nalowo ngokwesipho asemukelisiwe, makakhonze abanye njengezinceku ezinhle zomusa kaNkulunkulu owehlukahlukene.”
