CELEBRATING 29 YEARS OF UNITY
On 5 April 2025, we are again celebrating our Unity as the AFM of SA.
Some of us still remember the days when we were pushed aside because of our Pentecostal beliefs. When we were discriminated against and struggled to find land to build churches. Many of our members, although better qualified, were not allowed to lead, serve, or be promoted in certain positions and job opportunities, because they were in the wrong church.
Here we are today, by God’s Grace – one of the biggest denominations in South Africa with 1,807 registered assemblies and 2,578 ordained Pastors. By Grace, we are still growing, planting new assemblies, and training hundreds of students for ministry.
Most of us still remember the hard and emotional journey that we travelled up to the 5th of April 1996 when we came together in Centurion to confirm our structural unity after many years of division. Now, 29 years later, we function in our 43 Regions across South Africa as ONE AFM church. We do so humbly, in acknowledgement of those who worked hard for this unity, and in recognition of the fact that our unity remains a work in progress.
We take note with sadness of the decline of some denominations in our country and the struggles others still have to obtain unity.
While we pray for them, we are also prayerfully thankful for our unity and our growth as a church. We acknowledge that none of it would be possible or continue to be possible without God’s Word as our highest authority and guiding light and the grace and presence of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in our lives and churches.
Let us continue to take our place as followers of Jesus in South Africa, let us treasure and deepen our unity, let us continue to endevour to be servants of God who correctly handles the Word of Truth and proclaim the Gospel of His Love and Grace.

Abanye bethu basakhumbula izinsuku lapho sasibekelwa eceleni ngenxa yenkolelo yethu ekusebenzeni kuka-Moya. Ngalesosikhathi sasibandlululwa futhi kunzima ukuthola izindawo zokwakha izindlu zamasonto. Iningi lamalungu ethu, noma ayeqeqesheke kangcono, ayenqatshelwa ukuba ngabaholi, ukusebenza, ukukhushulelwe ezikhundleni ezithile nokunikwa amathuba emisebenzi, ngenxa yokuthi ayesebandleni elingamukeleki.
Namuhla silapha, ngoMusa KaNkulunkulu. Singelinye lamaSonto amakhulu eNingizimu Afrika elinamabandla abhalisiwe ayi-1807 kanye nabeFundisi abagcotshiwe abayizi-2578. NgoMusa sisaqhubeka ukukhula, sitshala amabandla amasha, futhi siqeqesha amakhulu abafundi ababizwe nguNkulunkulu.

Manje, ngemuva kweminyaka engama-29, sisebenza ezifundeni zethu ezingama-43 eNingizimu Afrika yonke njengebandla ELILODWA le-AFM. Lokhu sikwenza ngokuzithoba, sibonga labo abasebenza kanzima ukuze sizuze ubunye, futhi sikhumbula ukuthi ubunye bethu busengumsebenzi oqhubekayo.

We are looking forward to visiting and spending time in ministry and impartation with Regional Pastors, Assembly Leaders, Governing Body Members, Departments and Members during the Regional Empowerment Visits. The Theme for 2025 is: Sustaining the Fire!
"Sustaining the Fire" means staying passionate and committed to the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Just like a fire needs fuel to keep going, we need to continually feed our spiritual lives with prayer, worship, reading the Word, and walking in obedience to God. The Holy Spirit's fire represents His power, guidance, and presence, which keep us spiritually alive, strong, and effective. When we keep this fire burning, we stay connected to God, energized for His purpose, and ready to impact the world with His love and truth. “Never let the fire in your heart go out. Keep it alive. Serve the Lord.” Romans 12:11 (NIRV)

Inhloso yokuhambela iziFunda iwukuzihlomisa. Isihloko esizokhulumela phezu kwaso kulonyaka wezi-2025 sithi: Ukugcina Umlilo uvutha!
"Ukugcina Umlilo uvutha " kusho ukuhlala sinomdlandla futhi sizibophezele emsebenzini nasekuqikekeleni ubukhona bukaMoya oNgcwele ezimpilweni zethu. Njengoba nje umlilo udinga izinto zokuwubasa ukuze uhlale uvutha, nathi sidinga ukuqhubeka nokondla impilo yethu yokomoya ngomthandazo, ngendumiso, ngokufunda iZwi, nangokumlalela uNkulunkulu. Umlilo kaMoya oNgcwele usho amandla, isiqondiso, kanye nokuba khona kuka-Moya oNgcwele, ukusigcina siphila emoyeni, sinamandla, futhi sisebenza ngempumelelo. Uma sigcina lomlilo uvutha, lokhu kuzosenza sihlale sixhumene noNkulunkulu, sinogqozi ngalokho okuhloswe nguNkulunkulu, futhi sibe-sesimeni sokuba nomthelela emhlabeni ngokugqugquzela uthando lukaNkulunkulu neqiniso. “Ekukhuthaleni ningenqeni, nivuthe emoyeni, nikhonze iNkosi;” (KwabaseRoma 12:11- ZUL59).
During the 2025 NOB Regional Visits, the following topics will be addressed:
Divine Healing, Church Growth, Evangelism and Missional Action to Impact the Next Generation.
There will also be a session specifically for Pastors and their spouses, focusing on “Balancing Life and Ministry”. Please ensure that you plan your schedule in such a way that you will be part of this engagement.
