One AFM Game Plan Empowerment

Together, moving in unity to fulfil the Great Commission

Thank you for deciding to take the One AFM Game Plan Empowerment to the next level! In the next season we are looking forward to seeing our 43 regional/network committees presenting the One AFM Game Plan to their local pastors and members of governing bodies. This website is dedicated to teaching, guiding and equipping our committees in this vital task. Packed with wonderful resources, advice and support we believe that our committees will be able to successfully implement the One AFM Game Plan within their own regions and networks.

This next phase of the Game Plan will require a close working relationship between the regions/networks and specifically two staff members from the AFM National Office, i.e. Chantalle Schutte (Internal Communication Specialist) and Inocentia Revhura (Communication Technician). The idea is for our committees to successfully progress through an 8 Step Program – which will guide committees in successfully preparing for and presenting the One AFM Game Plan Empowerment in their respective regions/networks.

By now we have received orders from all our regions/networks as well as dates on which the One AFM Game Plan Empowerment will be presented.

We want to encourage your committee to start with Step 1. However, be sure to read the background information first – as to have a clear understanding of where the One AFM Game Plan came from, how it will benefit our church and how we are planning to cascade it down to the next level.

Background Information

The AFM has a wonderful strategic plan contained within a neatly written document. The challenge is to turn this strategic document into a missional culture that is practiced in all AFM assemblies. The main goal of the One AFM Game Plan is to see people on all levels of the AFM participating in conversations about the AFM strategy. Work has been done on NLF and Regional levels and now we are ready to cascade the One AFM Game Plan to the next level: From Regional/Network Committee to local assemblies. The idea is to repeat the NOB Regional Empowerment Sessions on local level and give Committees a platform to launch the One AFM Game Plan within their regions/networks.

The objectives of the One AFM Game Plan will remain the same on this level:

  • To strenghten commitment and passion towards the AFM’s calling. [Accept the call]
  • To close communication gaps in the understanding of the strategic focus areas of the AFM’s strategy. [Learn the Game]
  • To produce practical definitions for each of the strategic focus areas. [Talk Game Plan]
  • To produce a specific role for a local AFM pastor & his/her assembly leaders as a specific type of player in the AFM Team. [Talk Game Plan]

We therefore want the attendees of the workshop (Pastors & Members of the Governing Bodies) to achieve these objectives so that they themselves are empowered to facilitate the exact same process with their assembly leadership. After the empowerment each individual pastor receives a One AFM Game Box – with the idea that they themselves should now repeat the One AFM Game Plan Empowerment with the leaders of their assemblies.

After this Phase of the One AFM Game Plan has been completed we will be in a position to implement a national roll-out to our members – which is planned for 2016.
